Environmental Project Consulting

CESA 10's Environmental Project Consulting Service offers extensive review of environmental hazards (asbestos, lead, mold), help with project budgeting and scheduling, and site verification to make sure the issues are resolved safely and correctly, saving both time and money. Unlike many construction companies and performance contractors, CESA 10 is a fully-insured environmental company. We have a staff of certified professionals with licenses in Lead Hazard Inspection, and Asbestos Supervision, Inspection, and Management Planning to help aid in the safe removal and disposal of hazardous materials.

During any project, and especially during large referendum projects, it pays to have CESA 10 environmental project consultants on board from the beginning. Planning for and managing asbestos and other environmental hazards is critical to any project budget and schedule, and having an expert ensure all laws and rules are followed is critical to increasing project safety and reducing liability.

In 2011, CESA 10 assisted the Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan School District with their environmental needs. CESA 10's Asbestos Management Planner worked cooperatively with the DNR and DHS on behalf of the district to reach an agreement regarding which areas of the district would need to be abated using both sampling evidence and abatement planning. The end result was a significant reduction in the abatement area, saving the district over $75,000.

Schools are required to comply with WI SPS 332 which adopts many OSHA standards. It is essential that schools have access to a knowledgeable and experienced health and safety professional. Without proper assistance, schools can face penalties and forfeitures, negative press/loss of public trust, increased workers compensation costs, and other legal issues.
